It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael (Mike) Zuber on Monday, November 18th, 2024, at the age of 66. Mike passed away peacefully at Markham-Stouffville Hospital, surrounded by his loved ones.
Mike will be deeply missed by his best friend and wife, Eileen (nee Shulga). He was a devoted father to Lindsay (Jamie), Randi (Rick), Bruce (Meagan), Sonya (Darcey), and Mitch, and a proud and loving ‘Grandpa’ to Owen, Cayden, Hunter, Avery, Austyn, Reese, Zack, Maeve, and Paige.
Mike’s greatest love was his family. He was always eager to lend a hand to his children and cherished every moment spent with them. One of his greatest joys was building the family cottage, where he watched his loved ones come together and create memories that will last a lifetime. Mike’s caring, good-natured, and humorous personality left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
A memorial service to honor Mike’s life will be held at Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge, on Sunday, November 24th, 2024, at 1:00 PM, with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. A reception will follow at the Claremont Community Centre, 4941 Old Brock Road, Pickering.
As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
Mike will be forever loved and remembered for the joy, laughter, and love he brought to all who knew him.
