LYONS, Dale - December 14, 1932 - May 17, 2022
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dale Lyons, on May 17th, at the age of 89.
Survived by his beloved wife of 62 years Cae (Campbell) Lyons, Dale was a devoted father to Marc Lyons, Shanna (Lyons) Kokonis and son-in-law John Kokonis and loving grandfather to Samantha and Julia Kokonis.
Dale spent the majority of his life dedicated to teaching and coaching young adults.
He is fondly remembered by his students and players as a strong and enduring positive role model.
Known for his quick wit, Dale never missed an opportunity to end a conversation with a wise crack that generated a smile and laugh. Dale will be dearly missed.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Markham Stouffville Hospital for their exceptional care and to the entire Hill House Hospice team for their kindness and compassion.
The family will be having a private service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Markham Stouffville Hospital or Hill House Hospice would be a wonderful tribute.
