SCOTT, Rev. Dr. George William - April 28, 1943 - June 22, 2022
Passed away at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, in his 80th year.
Survived by his loving wife, Priscilla (predeceased in 2008 by wife Sandra, nee Nicoll) and his children, Rev. Maureen Weaver (Philip), David (Kelly), Marcy and Robert, and stepchildren, Daryl (Jennifer), Dean (Ulli) and Dale (Dana).
Missed by the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the blended Kustra-Scott families.
George's calling as Pastor led him to the Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec (CBOQ) serving as pastor for over 40 years in many churches across Ontario and one in Quebec.
George also served the denomination as Executive Staff ministering to and guiding over 384 churches during his tenure.
George's Ministry and the way he lived out his faith touched many lives.
George and Priscilla had a shared passion for music and church life, both performing in church choirs and civic choirs.
George was an active member of the Burlington Civic Chorale for several years in his retirement.
A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, June 27, 2022, at Lorne Park Baptist Church, 1500 Indian Road, Mississauga, with Reverend David Ogilvie officiating.
Visitation will take place from 9-11 a.m. at the church with the Service to follow at 11 a.m. Light refreshments will be served from 12-1:30 p.m. following the service. Private interment in Niagara.
