Rees JamesREES, James Richard   -  "Easy Does It" Jim passed away peacefully, on August 11, 2022, surrounded by his family.

Born on January 6, 1951 to Audrey and Clarence. Brother to Dale and Francis Anna, predeceased by brothers, Blaine and Henry. Loving husband to Jennifer.

Proud dad to Caitlin and Samantha, grandpa to Marcus, Quinn and Emma. Jim joins his favourite child, Madison the cat, in Heaven. Fondly remembered by the McCaughey's.

Proudly sober for almost 28 years, Jim found purpose in the Alcoholics Anonymous community, through service, sponsorship and sobriety.

He spent countless hours holding meetings in jails, sponsoring new members, and lending an ear to those in need.

He made a difference to many, while so many in the community made a profound difference to him.

AA saved his life, healed his soul and restored him to his family.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Claire Dyason, Irene Ritchie, and the doctors, nurses and volunteers at Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice for their excellent care of him in his final days.

In memory of Jim, donations may be made to The Ruddy- Shenkman Hospice in Kanata, Ontario, via: hospicecareOttawa.ca

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Fall.
