LEPPER, Bernice Audrey (nee RODWELL)   -

March 1, 1931 - January 14, 2023

The last of her generation in the family, Bernice died at home on Saturday, January 14th, at the age of 91.

Predeceased by her loving husband Art in 2011, Bernice was the proud mother of Cathy (Doug Hitchcock), Peggy (Peter Blatherwick) and Pat; loving grandmother of Tim (Cassandra), Alli (Matt), Andy, and Mary (Morgan) and GG to Nora.

She was Aunt "B" to her many nieces and nephews and their families.

Bernice was a lifelong Guider and "Brown Owl' to many, especially the children at Sick Kids Hospital. She was the Deputy Commissioner of Guiding for Ontario in the 1980s and continued to meet with her Trefoil Guild until she was 85. She was an active member of the Anglican churches that she attended throughout her life in both Kapuskasing and Toronto.

Bernice was a member of the Caledon Ski Club for many years and travelled extensively with Art during their retirement.

Her favourite place to be was the island cottage on the Severn River, the "Lepper Colony" where she spent her summers since 1958. We will be forever grateful to the PSWs who assisted Pat with Mom's care in her final weeks.

A visitation will be held at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke on Friday, February 24th from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. A Service of Remembrance will be held at the Church of Christ the King, 475 Rathburn Road, Etobicoke on Saturday, February 25th at 2:00 p.m.

If desired, donations in Bernice's memory may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, the Alzheimer Society of Canada or a Charity of Your Choice.
