COX, Thomas Ronald - It is with great sadness but wonderful memories that the Cox Family would like share that our beloved father, Thomas Ronald Cox, passed away gently in his sleep in the early hours of March 20, 2024.
Dad is back with Mum now.
"Ron" to all who knew and loved him, our talented father was born on December 13, 1929 in Stockton-on-Tees, England. Dad lived a typical immigrant's story.
He came to Canada on a ship, was joined by his wife, Joan (nee Devanny), got a job, made friends, bought a house, had children and eventually started a successful business.
Dad and Mum raised six children in Hamilton, Ontario and shared a lifelong romance, 61 years of marriage, a passion for tennis and a belief in the power of family until.
Ron is survived by his sister, Dorothy; his children, Jane, Mark, Damien, Donovan, Jack and Jill, his 13 grandchildren and his seven great-grandchildren.
The family will hold a private celebration of a rich and fulfilling life.
