BISHOP, John "Jody" Elliot - It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Jody Bishop on March 19, 2024 at his home in Mississauga.
Jody was born in Toronto on August 14, 1950 to Ruth and Hedley Bishop.
While attending The University of Western Ontario, Jody met Liz McLeod and they had two children, Marissa and Beau, who they adored.
Liz and Jody entertained many friends and family over the years at their home and at Pleasant Point.
Here, Jody worked on his fishing skills, talent for waterskiing (especially barefoot) and shared many good natured jokes about his varying success.
Jody loved life and connecting with intellects and just about anyone.
His sense of humour and ability to laugh at himself were traits that stood him well in the world of business as well as personally. Jody is survived by his children, Marissa and Beau; as well as his sisters, Lynda and Debbie.
Predeceased by his parents, Ruth and Hedley Bishop; and good friend, Liz McLeod.
A celebration of life will take place in the near future.
