CRUICKSHANK, Alan J.   -

July 6, 1935 - April 24, 2024

 

Alan passed away peacefully, on April 24, 2024 at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Orillia, at the age of 88.

 

Alan was born and raised in Weston and was the 3rd generation of Cruickshank Motors.

Later in life, Alan moved to Orillia and Bradenton, Florida, where he was able to spend time with family and friends.

 

He was an avid golfer, a community supporter, a car enthusiast and also a longtime boater. Predeceased by his parents, Alex M. Cruickshank and Luella Jamieson.

 

Loving and devoted husband to Angela; loving father to Heather (John), and Andrew (Angela).

 

Proud "Poppa" of JG Yates (Crystal), Crystol Yates (Chris), Alex Cruickshank, and Jamie Cruickshank.

 

Dear "Great-Poppa" of Aden Norris, Avery Yates, Natalie Yates, Lacey Yates.

 

Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home "Weston Chapel," 2035 Weston Road, on Tuesday, April 30th, from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. for a time of Visitation. A Funeral Service will be held at Weston Presbyterian Church, 7 Cross Street, Weston, on Tuesday, April 30th, at 1 p.m.
