McKAY, Gordon "John" - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John at the Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Orillia, on Friday April 26, 2024, at the age of 69, with his family at his side.
Predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Elizabeth "Betty" McKay.
Beloved father of Heather Steele (Norris).
Dear grandfather of Laura.
Loved brother of Michael McKay, and Brenda Checanis (Bill), and the late Robert McKay.
Cherished uncle of Tammy (Kurt), Michelle (Josh), Maureen (Ryan), and Shannon (Andrew). Will be lovingly remembered by his many great-nieces and nephews.
The family wish to express their sincere appreciation to the wonderful staff at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Orillia, for their care and support.
The family will honour John's life with a Visitation at the Coldwater Funeral Home, Coldwater, on Saturday, May 4th, from 1 p.m. until the time of Service at 2 p.m.
As an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of John may be made to the Dialysis Unit of the Soldiers' Memorial Hospital or to Diabetes Canada.
