Janet Lockhart Rice
December 12, 1937 - November 5, 2024
Beloved wife of the late John P. Rice. Janet was the cherished mother of Andrew John (Patty McGregor) Rice, and the late David Alexander Rice (2009). Adoring Nana of Alexander, William, and Grant Rice. Daughter of the late Clarence and Jessie Beacom, and twin sister to Janice (Jan J. Drent) of Victoria, B.C.
She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews, Margaret Drent and Elizabeth Drent (Matthew deVlieger) and their five children, as well as the family of her late husband John: Andrea (Rob Faulds), Richard, Sarah (Jim Long), and Heather (Greg Hiscox) and their eight children.
If desired, donations in Janet's memory may be made to the Bowmanville Hospital Foundation, Marigold Hospice Care (Clarington), or St. Paul's United Church, Bowmanville.
Arrangements entrusted to Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home. Celebration of life details will be shared at a later date.
