Monish passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones at Scarborough Centenary Hospital on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at 87 years of age. Monish was a retired Chemist with ICI (Glidden) Canada Inc., now PPG and Inscape (Office Specialty). He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Sheila Sarker; parents, Dr. Srish Chandra Sarker and Charu Prova Sarker; and brothers, Tapan and Subhash Sarkar. He leaves behind his sisters-in-law, Purabi and Dipika; nephews, Ranjit, and Sumit; and niece, Romy Sarkar.
Visitation will be held tonight (Wednesday, July 3, 2024) from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at McDougall and Brown Funeral Home (2900 Kingston Road, Toronto, M1N 1N5). Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church (794 Kingston Road, Toronto, M4E 1R7) with a Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery (8361 Yonge Street, Thornhill, L3T 2C7), in the same grave where his beloved wife, Mary, was buried.
