Grose GillianGROSE, Gillian Mary - It is with great sadness that the family of Gillian Mary Grose (formerly Sandor) (née Gregory) announce her passing on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Cardinal Ambrozic Houses of Providence in Scarborough.

Gillian Grose was born October 29, 1942 in Dublin, Ireland, the daughter of Fred and Muriel Gregory.

She emigrated to Canada with her family when she was a child and lived in Toronto. Gillian had a fulfilling career, having worked as an elementary school teacher, Registered Nurse Assistant and as a Mental Health Care Worker (psycho-geriatrics) at Toronto East General Hospital.

It was always very important to Gillian to contribute in any way she possibly could. Gillian was an active member of St. Brigid Catholic Church Parish and the Emerald Isle Seniors Society. In her retirement years, Gillian and her husband partook in many missionary trips as volunteers, travelling to Africa, India, Peru, the Philippines and Sri Lanka.

Gillian is preceded in death by her loving husband, Nelson Lloyd Grose, and her sister, Margaret Vivienne Gregory.

She is survived by her brother Paul (Maureen) Gregory and her children Jeanette (Zoltan) Benczik, Francis (Jackie) Sandor and step-daughter Barbara (Dan) Morelli.

She was a loving grandmother to her grandchildren Devin and Renée Benczik and step-grandchildren Andrea (Antonio) and Valerie (Roberto), and step-great grandchildren Sienna, Brocco, Caliana, Rio and Cruz.

Visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Centre, Toronto on Tuesday, November 13th, 2018 2:00pm - 4:00pm and 7:00pm - 9:00pm. The service will take place at St. Brigid's Parish, 300 Wolverleigh Blvd Toronto, ON on Wednesday, November 14th, 2018 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Brigid Parish, and to the Cardinal Ambrozic Houses of Providence, 3276 St. Clair Ave. E, Toronto.
