MASSEY, Evelyn James - Evelyn passed away peacefully on December 9, 2018 in Toronto, Canada. She was 70 years old.
She was born in Quetta, Pakistan on January 31, 1948. Her older brother was Ernest James and she is survived by her younger sister Irene Fisk (née James).
She married Victor Daniel Massey on July 5, 1965 and they celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2015.
Her sons were Frank and Richard.
She worked for the Ministry of the Attorney General for 28 years, starting in 1987, eventually serving as Registrar, retiring on January 31, 2015.
She was an active member of the New Covenant Church of Canada for 25 years and served as the Treasurer. Victor served as an elder. After Victor’s passing in 2016 she continued her faithful service. She loved her church and her Pastor.
Evelyn had a charming personality and was well known for her compassion and hospitality. She was generous, fair-minded and a true humanitarian.
Visitation will be held at Brampton Funeral Home, Brampton on December 11th from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM. The service will take place in the chapel on December 12th at 11:00 AM.
