CRAIG, Ann Banks Smith  - July 5, 1925 -  December 25, 2018

Peacefully, on December 25, 2018, Ann Craig passed away at Wellesley Central Place, Toronto, at the age of 93.

Ann was born in Aberdeen, Scotland.

She served as Leading Wren in the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy from 1944-1947 and confessed years later that while she enjoyed serving, she never really got her "sea legs".

In 1956 Ann emigrated from Scotland and briefly settled in London, Ontario where she was hired as Personal Secretary to Colonol Douglas B. Weldon.

Soon after, Colonol Weldon persuaded Ann to move to Toronto to become Executive Assistant to his son, David B. Weldon at Midland Doherty.

Ann accepted the challenge and together she and David formed not only a formidable working team but a life-long friendship. Ann enjoyed a full life in Canada with many happy memories.

A particular favourite pastime of hers was to sit with a good book and a glass of fine sherry. Ann will be greatly missed.

A special thank you to the staff at Wellesley Central Place for their kindness and comforting care.

Ann will return to Aberdeen to rest with her parents, Mitchell and Charlotte Craig.

Beannachd Dia dhuit.
