Butchers EvanBUTCHERS, Evan John - (January 7, 1941March 8, 2019) - 

Evan lived a great life filled with love, laughter and fun times, but, there were struggles also that he bravely faced with a smile and humour.

He had been a Funeral Director for 50 years. This was not the sum total of our Evan.

He was: Lifelong Argos fan, Grey Cup or bust every year, Greyhound bus driver, Santa Claus to many, Balmy Beach Club member, Malvern Collegiate Red & Black Society active and involved member, Car enthusiast - Professional Car Society member, Honorary “Dad” and “Uncle."

He was a trusted friend who touched so many hearts in his special way.

Evan leaves his sister Joan of Midland, and was predeceased by his parents Elsie and Dr. Burns Plewes.

Visitation on Friday March 15th at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, 2570 Danforth Ave, Toronto.

Service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 72 Main St., (between Gerrard St. & Kingston Road), Toronto at 11 am on Saturday, March 16th. Reception at church following service. Private interment.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or Calvary Baptist Church, if desired.
