STAIG, Carol Elizabeth - Peacefully at Orchard Villa Long Term Care Homein Pickering, Ontario on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at age 94.
She was the beloved wife of Alan (predeceased January 2012).
Loving mother of Helen Cox (Phil), Marilyn Staig (Lee Arsenault), and Sheila Greisman.
Proud Grandma of Paula Kuhnis(Remy), Bonnie Lucas (Sam), Lucas Elliott (Tammy), Casey Bond (Cam), Megan Bennett, Laura Bennett-Morrow (Garrett), Nicole Greisman and Austin Greisman.
Great grandmotherof Jamie, Alicia and Caitlyn Kuhnis; Harry, Nick, Madeline and Fletcher Lucas; Madison and Zachary Elliott; Abigail and Lincoln Morrow and Claire Bond.
She was very loved and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Carol was born in Surrey, England. She and Alan immigrated to Canada in 1953.
A ‘Gathering to Remember Carol’ will be held on Saturday, May 11 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Scarborough Bluffs United Church, 3739 Kingston Road,Scarborough. Light refreshments will be served.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Orchard Villa Long Term Care for their care of Carol over the last 2 ½ years.
