Norcia MariettaNORCIA, Marietta 'Maria'  -  God called Marietta 'Maria' peacefully on Sunday March 31, 2019 at the age of 88.

She is now reunited in Heaven with her loving husband, Michele and parents Domenica and Domenico Sarracini.

Cherished by her dear children, Anna (Francesco), Rita, Paula (Ubaldo), Domenica (Danny) and Fernando (Kerry).

Proud Nonna to Michael (Lia), Joseph (Stephanie), Mariann (Gabriel), Gianni (Valeria), Steven (Vanessa), Amanda Rose, Bridget (Jeffrey), Nicole, Michael and Julia.

Adoring great-grandmother to Asia, Mikayla, Chloe, Frankie, Francesco and GianPaolo.

Marietta 'Maria' will always be remembered by her siblings, Bartalo (Domenica), Lucia (Francesco), Santina (Umberto), Vincenza (Frank), Pierina (Armando), Francesca (Nicola) and her siblings-in-law, Loretto (Costanza), Louisa (Angelo), Elisa (Giuseppe) and Ciara (Fiorino). She will be held dear in the hearts of her many nieces and nephews, both here in Canada & Italy, relatives, and many friends.

Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd.) on Wednesday April 3, 2019 from 6-9 p.m. and on Thursday April 4, 2019 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday April 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. David’s Roman Catholic Church (2601 Major Mackenzie Dr., east of Jane St.). Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery (on Bathurst St., north of Finch Ave.).

If so desired, donations in memory of Marietta 'Maria' may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
