KOFMAN, Shirley Lillian (Fidler) - 1924-2019 - It is with great sadness we announce that Shirley passed away on Friday, August 2, 2019.

Shirley was born on February 29, 1924, to Harry and Anne Fidler, a "leap year" baby.

She was the loving wife of the late Charles David Kofman.

Proud mother of Kathy (Paul) and Martin (Sherry).

Devoted grandmother to Charles (Grettel), Margi (Ryan), and Gabi (Ori).

Cherished great-grandmother to Isabella, Meredith, Connor, Isla and Emmett who she loved so much.

Adored step-grandmother and step-great grandmother to Kenny and Dana and families.

Dear sister to her younger brothers, the late Sonny and Sheldon.

Beloved Aunt to her many nieces and nephews who have wonderful memories of special times with her,

Treasured cousin to so many who each had a cherished relationship with her.

Shirley was a generous, kind and loving woman who impacted the lives of many. She loved her family and cared deeply for those with whom she became friends.

She had many passions including art, baking, bridge, swimming, skiing, tennis, theatre, gardening, dining-out, hosting gatherings for family and friends, travelling the world and cheering on the Raptors. Most of all, Shirley was happiest when surrounded by her family. We will miss her dearly.

A funeral will be held on Monday, August 5, 2019 at Holy Blossom Memorial Park, 66 Brimley Road Toronto at 2:00 p.m.

The family would also like to thank the many caregivers, nurses and doctors that worked with Shirley, for their care and compassion.

Donations can be made to the Shirley Kofman Leap Year Fund c/o The Baycrest Foundation.
