BLACK, Robert (Bob) Edward  - Robert (Bob) Edward BLACK  On Saturday, August 3, 2019, after 80 fulfilling years, Bob passed away suddenly from heart failure.

For 56 years, Bob was the loving husband and best friend to Beverley (Fiske) and the devoted father of Jill (Jeff) and Greig (Michele), and doting grandfather to Evan, Camryn, Olivia and Gareth.

After graduating high school, Bob joined the Bank of Montreal.

His determination resulted in a 36-year career, where he became Manager of Commercial Banking for Eastern Ontario. Bob also committed to the service of others.

For almost two decades, Bob was a leader with the Boy Scouts, where he inspired and guided countless boys. For over 35 years, Bob was an Elder at St. Stephen's Presbyterian Church, supporting the church and its congregation.

He was also known for enthusiastically singing hymns in his unique and off-key style. Bob volunteered weekly at Seven Oaks Long-Term Care Home over the past 21 years. In recognition for enriching the lives of the residents, The City of Toronto acknowledged his contributions in 2000.

Above all, Bob cherished being a devoted husband, a loving father and an adoring grandfather. His love was unconditional and he made sure that those around him felt it. He delighted in spending time sharing laughter and heartfelt conversations, where everyone always felt loved and accepted. Private cremation has taken place.

The family will receive friends at Ogden Funeral Home, Scarborough, on Saturday, August 10, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. The service celebrating Bob's life will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel, with a reception immediately following.

Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
