Sweeney PaulSWEENEY, Paul Francis - (March 1, 1941 - October 31, 2019)

It is with great sadness that the family of Paul Sweeney announces his passing on October 31, 2019 at the age of 78 years.

Paul Sweeney was born in Dublin, Ireland and moved to Canada in 1963.

Married to Stephanie Sweeney on November 28th, 1987, the two shared a loving, laughter filled marriage, never spending a day apart from each other.

Nicknamed “Smiley” for his constant grin, Paul loved to laugh, and more importantly create laughter. His stories were shared with such vivid humour that you were always left wanting more. Paul was known for his quick wit, his infectious laughter, but even more for his compassionate and giving spirit. Paul loved unequivocally, spoke honestly, and lived truthfully.

Lovingly remembered by his wife Stephanie Sweeney, by his children Paul (Grainne), Shannon (Dave), Anthony, and Ashley (Nick) and his grandchildren: Paul the III, David, Joshuah, Aliyah, Marcus, D’Andre, and Leonidas.

In memoriam donations may be made to Parkinson Canada in Paul's name.

Visitation at Andrews funeral home, Brampton on November 8th from 2 - 4pm and 6 - 9pm.

Funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 940 North Park Dr., Brampton on November 9th at 11:30 a.m.  Burial to follow at 1:30 p.m. at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, Mississauga. Reception to follow at Brampton Irish Centre.

Memorial Donations may be made to Parkinson Canada.
