Stillo FilomenaSTILLO, Filomena - Surrounded by her loving family, Filomena passed away peacefully on the morning of Tuesday, January 7, 2020.

She will be missed dearly by her loving family and friends.

The cherished mother of her children Nick, Mario, Elvira and Linda is now reunited with her predeceased family Aldo, Tony and Michele.

Born in Guardiaregia, Molise Italy, Filomena immigrated to Canada at the age of 19 years of age with her husband. Filomena was proud of her Italian heritage but was also a proud Canadian Citizen. She made frequent visits to Italy with her family so that they too would understand her culture.

Filomena was a loving, funny and a caring woman, always enjoying the simple things in life including her espresso. She enjoyed being a homemaker, always entertaining friends and family. She was known for her cooking and baking and really loved making panettone. Filomena loved to make everyone laugh and saw the best in people.

Despite the losses our family had, she continued to be strong and told us to move forward and work hard for what we wanted in life. She would say, “you can do whatever you want, as long as you put your mind to it”. She always motivated us and taught us valuable life lessons.

Her sons, daughters, daughter in laws Jean and Shirley, son in laws Adriano and Nino, as well as her grandchildren Michelle, Marc, Adriana, Lorenzo, Michael, Joseph, Michela and great grandchildren Lucas and Miles will forever hold her in their hearts.

Friends and family will be received at Bernardo Funeral Home, Dufferin Chapel, Toronto on Thursday, January 9th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 117 Guestville Ave., Toronto on Friday, January 10th at 10:00 a.m.

Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in her memory.
