Predeceased by his loving wife of 57 years, Rose Kohl.
Beloved father and father-in-law to Helen (Chris), Dorothy (Jeff) and Susie. Grandfather to Jason (Ashleigh), Joy, Ryan (Wallis), Lisa (Howie), Kal (Ann-Marie), Laurel (Victor), Jordan (Carly). Great-grandfather to Talia and Ava, Sophie and Ethan.

Born in Szczebrzesyn, Poland, Sam survived the Holocaust and was a member of the Palmach in Israel’s War of Independence, before arriving in Toronto with Rose and Helen in 1951. He was a successful small business owner, an avid swimmer and card player, everyone’s financial advisor, and most importantly, a real mensch.
He will be deeply missed by many family and friends in Toronto and in Israel.
Arrangements with Steeles Memorial Chapel, Thornhill. Memorial Service will be a graveside service at Pades Shalom cemetery, Independent Friendly Workers' Circle Section. on Friday March 13th at 11:00 a.m.
