FREEDMAN, Susan Ruth - mother/ mother-in-law, sister/sister-in-law, grandmother,aunt,cousin and friend to so many. We are so profoundly sad to say that Susan has lost her most recent battle on Tuesday, March 24, 2020.
It was a year ago, that once again, Susan had to face another challenge in her life. She faced it head on with courage and strength with the help of many. We thought she had won that battle but this disease reared it's ugly head again in the fall. With the love and support of so many, she tried to overcome the odds. It was just too fierce.
Because of circumstances beyond our control, the send off that Susan truly deserves is not possible. The funeral will be private and there is no shiva.
Social distancing is the total opposite of the way Susan lived her life. This was so evident to us by the outpouring of love sent to her. We are so grateful that she was able to feel this from you all.
If you are so inclined, please choose a charity close to your hearts to honour Susan.
Rather than individually, we are now collectively expressing our appreciation. We are so grateful for the community of family, friends , caregivers and medical staff who rallied around Susan not just now but each time she needed you in the past. It's been a tough road for Susan to travel but we know that when you think of her, it is her smile that shines through. Given what is happening now, it is pretty likely, in fact, that she is in a better place. Our family asks that you keep safe.
