MONGILLO, Giuseppe - (1938 - 2020) -
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Giuseppe Mongillo, on April 23, 2020.
Loving husband of Angelina (D’Amico) and beloved father of Angela (Peter), Pasquale (Cinzia) and Tommaso (Anna); grandfather to Anna (Joe) Milena, Leila, Maia, Leandro, Joseph, and Alyssa; and great-grandfather to Andreas.
He was predeceased by his father Pasquale and his mother Angela. He is survived by his brothers Angelo (Carmela), and Americo (Ada).
He was born in Italy in the small town of Amorosi (BN) and immigrated to Canada in 1974.
Giuseppe was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. He enjoyed the great outdoors, hunting and fishing, and he looked forward to playing cards with his friends. He loved to tell stories and made everyone laugh with his jokes. His presence enriched the lives of people he knew and loved.
Due to the current global pandemic, the family will hold a private service. Plans for a public memorial will be made in the future.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Society.
