Ketchum MerdieKETCHUM, Mary 'Merdie' - (March 13, 1930 - May 13, 2020) - Merdie died peacefully after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

She is survived by her nieces, Shelley Dickerson and Sherry Devine, and her nephew Larry (Kep) Ketchum. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Shirley Ketchum Patterson.

She was predeceased by her parents Edwin and Marjorie Ketchum and her brother, Lawrence Ketchum.

 

She was never married but travelled with friends and never missed life events with her family in the United States. Merdie was an artist and loved to paint and create notecards that her family uses to this day.

Merdie was born in Saint John, NB and lived there until her Executive Secretary job took her to Hamilton, Ontario. She remained there until she moved to Toronto and was Executive Secretary to the President of IOF. She remained there until retirement.
