Penushkovich PandoPENUSHKOVICH, Pando - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pando on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, in his 86th year.

He was the beloved husband of Elinka Penushkovich for 64 years.

Devoted father of Debbie Karatanevski (Chris) and Dr. Andrew Penuvchev (Vera).

He was the loving grandfather and great-grandfather of Lauren (Scott), Katelyn (Paul), Peter, Matthew, Nicholas and Clarke.

He was the only son of the late Vangel and Bona Penushkovich.

Born August 7, 1934 in Bukovo, Macedonia, he immigrated to Canada to lay the foundation and future of his family. Pando started his career as a young shoe mender and later moved into his profession as a custodian with the Toronto District School Board until his retirement. He was extraordinarily handy, supportive and maintained an incredibly strong work ethic.

He will fondly be remembered as a devoted husband, father and one who treasured his time with his family. He loved being Dedo to his five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. His warm and gentle nature and presence in their lives was deeply felt and he will be profoundly missed.

In light of the ongoing pandemic, a private service will be held with the immediate family. A larger memorial of family and friends will take place at a later date. We appreciate your love and support at this time.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Sunnybrook Foundation, gift in memory or honour of Pando.
