Earl AudreyEARL, Audrey Winnifred (Wetmore)- It is with broken hearts, that we announce the passing of the Wetmore family matriarch, Audrey at 98 years. Audrey passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday July 8, 2020 after a brief stay in Southlake Hospital in Newmarket.

Audrey was born in St. John, New Brunswick and moved with her family to Toronto as a young child. Audrey grew up the second youngest of 7 brothers and sisters (predeceased).

Audrey married the love of her life, William Earl (predeceased in 2015), smitten by this RAF navigator from England. They met at the Exhibition Grounds (CNE) during the war, while Bill was stationed in Toronto for training purposes. They stayed in contact by letter until after the war and married in 1946 in Toronto. They were married for 69 years.

They eventually settled in Scarborough Ontario where they raised their 2 children, Patricia (Tom Moreland) and James (Patricia).

Audrey was a homemaker who enjoyed selling AVON in her neighbourhood as she could earn some money and work from home. Due to her success she eventually became team captain and mentored other like minded people who enjoyed the product and the ability to earn some money.

Audrey is survived by her 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Audrey will be remembered by her friend Maureen Grainger and friends at the Barton Retirement Residence in Newmarket.

A private memorial with her immediate family to celebrate her life and almost a century of wonderful memories will be held at a future date.
