POLLOCK, Edward Marshall - Q.C. - 1938 - 2020 - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marshall Pollock on Wednesday, August 26, 2020.

Marshall was born in Winnipeg, raised in Saskatoon. He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan Law School and Masters of Law at University of Toronto.

Dear son of the late Sam & Betty Pollock, pre- deceased by his brother, Alec. Loving husband of Helen Foss-Pollock, dear father to the late Charles (Barbra), Andrew (Wendy), Erin (Nigel), John and Sarah Foss, Uncle of James Pollock (Pablo). Grandfather of Logan, Maddie, Zack, Deven, Darcy, Kyla, Jacob, Sammy, Adrianna, Addison, Nathan and J. J.

Marshall had a distinguished career with the A.G.'s office as Assistant Deputy Attorney General from 1965 - 1975. He founded the Ontario Lottery Corporation and ran it from 1975 - 1981. President of British American Bank Note from 1985 - 1988.

In June 2002, he cofounded Utilicor Technologies Inc. with his son, Andrew and ran it successfully until the present.

His love of sailing stemmed from his early days as a Junior Officer Cadet in the Royal Canadian Navy where he met some of his life long friends. He continued his love of sailing for 40 years at the Island Yacht Club, where he sailed his beloved Wind Mistress for over three decades.

He was a fervent supporter of Israel and was passionate about fighting anti-semitism.

Marshall had a superb wit and we all relied on his wisdom and counsel. He was funny and opinionated and didn't hold back. He had an abiding loyalty to his many friends. He loved to cook and enjoyed nothing more than bringing his friends and family together for dinners and celebrations.
