KANELLOPOULOS, Eugenia - With great sadness we announce the passing of our loving mother and Grandmother Eugenia, who passed away peacefully on August 26, 2020 in the embrace of her loving children.
She leaves behind her children Peter, Tula and Jim, and Vicky; her sisters, Athanasia and Fotini; her grandchildren Chris and Joanna, George and Aida, Joanne and Brandon, and Georgia and Rudy; and her great grandchildren James and Madeline.
She is reunited with her husband George and her brother Vasili.
Eugenia had one over arching philosophical view; take less, give more, don’t be a burden onto others. She was born in a small village, Analipsi, just outside of Kalamata, Greece. If you go and sit on the beach in Analispi, look out over the sea and the mountains, you’ll understand how one can came away with a burden less aspiration towards life. That is what Eugenia embodied in all her actions.
For those whom are saddened by the news of Eugenia passing, rest assured, she is in the loving embrace of her George’s arms, after 32 years. She’s looking at all of us with a smile of fulfillment, admiration, and love for all that you have shared with her and grateful to have shared with all of you!
We will always love and cherish your memory Eugenia, Mom, Giagia. Thank you for the beautiful memories!
Visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Centre, Toronto on Sunday, August 30, 2020 from 5:00PM - 8:00PM. The service will take place at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 30 Thorncliffe Park Drive, Toronto on August 31, 2020 at 1:00PM.
