Phipps Ian WatsonPHIPPS, Ian Watson - It is with great sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our dear brother Ian Watson (Phipps) who passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020 in his 47th year.

Cherished son of the late Jack George and Mary Ellen Phipps.

Beloved brother to Brenda Rodgers and her husband Arthur Daniel. Paul Phipps and Jacque McKiggan and nephew to Dawn, Ann and Bob and the late Cameron and Douglas. Uncle to Amanda, Jessica, Paul, William, Julia, Brendan and Kaitlynn. Great Uncle to Brie, Taylin and Noah.

A fond thank you to Ian's Lenbrook family for providing us with such a touching photograph.

Private family arrangements and interment entrusted with Giffen-Mack funeral home, Scarborough chapel.

Fly above and with my love A light anew
Spread your wings The open sky is calling to you
If you fly away I'll be waiting come what may
For my brother, the joyful day, When I can rest with you
Forever in our hearts you'll stay

I met Ian when he was still 11 years old. I “added” Ian “Elementary” Watson Phipps to his name. Eventually I shortened his handle to just “BiG-E”. Although I still referred to his little motor boat as The “S.S. Elementary “. After watching Ian grow & me knowing him over these past 35 plus years. I can safely say with most certainty that Ian is at peace again. Back with his Nana, Parent’s & Uncles.> So Ian, say hello to them-from All of us & Until we meet again Ian, you can ride your boat 🌈🚣⛅️ on Heaven Lake. Your: Brother in-law, 👋 D-boy.
