SOMMA, Lorenzo - God called Lorenzo peacefully on November 29, 2020 at the age of 92.
He will be forever missed by his loving wife, Giovanna. Cherished by his dear children, Domenic (Janet), Nick (Lesley), Tina (Gaetano Del-Vecchio), and Mary (Peter Scarcella).
Proud Nonno to Lorenzo (Linda), Domenic (Kristen), Megan, Lorenzo (Liz), Christopher, Joseph (Mary Rose), Renzo (Sabina), Philip (Yvette), Joanne (Alex) and Cathy (Rudy).
Adoring great-grandfather to Zoey, Zara, Zalyn, Ried, Oliver, Lilly, Giovanna Louise, Jonluca, Jada, Alyssa, Gabriella, Natalie, Ava, Peter, and Mia.
Lorenzo will always be remembered by his brother Gaetano, and is predeceased by his loving sisters Lucia, Maria, and Rosina.
He will be held dear in the hearts of his family, relatives, and many friends.
Visitation (RSVP Required) will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Maple Chapel (211 McNaughton Rd. East, 905-303-0770) on Friday December 4th from 9-12 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated following visitation at 1:00 p.m. at St. David’s Roman Catholic Church (2601 Major Mackenzie Dr.). Private entombment to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lorenzo may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
As per the BAO and local government Covid-19 restrictions, the funeral home is limited to a maximum of 50 patrons inside the building at any time.
