SYRNYK, Michael Steven   - Our father passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Brampton Civic Hospital, following a short illness.

Loving and devoted husband of Mary, nee Serwa, (predeceased) with whom he shared 67 years of marriage.

Dear son of Steven and Anne (nee Potoroka) and caring brother of surviving siblings Orysia (Iris) and Roxanne.

Brother to predeceased siblings Hilary, Isadore, Victor and Nadia.

Loving father to Ken (predeceased) and his wife Sherry, Beverley (Jim), Lorraine (John) and Darlene (Craig).

Cherished grandfather to Adam (predeceased), Andrea, Deanna, Heather, Jim, John Michael, Erin, Ryan, Shonnah, Daniel and great-grandfather to Sam, James, Mike, Ben, Brooke, Ashley, Ava and Jack. Dad was born in Ethelbert, Manitoba. After teaching school for seven years, our parents moved to Brampton, Ontario in the 1950s, where he eventually started Fairlane Construction, building homes and developing land in Brampton, Bramalea and Inglewood.

However, he will be remembered and missed most for his social side - he was a wonderful host, good friend, generous, caring and fun-loving. He kept in touch with many family and friends his entire life. He believed in giving back to his community.

Cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Life will occur later once the Covid restrictions are removed.

Rest in peace Dad.
