Gardner MargaretGARDNER, Margaret Mary - Margaret Mary Gardner died peacefully, with family present, in Ajax, Ontario on December 24, 2020 at the age of 87.

Born and raised in San Francisco, California, Margaret was educated at the Convent of the Sacred Heart and UC - Berkeley. Upon moving to Boston she met and married Donald S. Gardner (Montreal).

After a year in Toronto, Margaret & Donald moved to Montreal and started a famiy. Two years later they were back in Toronto where they raised their 4 children in Guildwood and Seven Oaks until 1997 when Donald passed away.

Margaret loved music and cherished her time in the company of her devoted family, friends and spiritual community. Margaret adored visiting and conversing with her two sisters-in-law Paula and Pat. Margaret and The Gardner Family have been blessed with the love and support of 6 grandchildren.

Margaret practiced a lifelong devotion to the teachings, liturgy & worship of the Roman Catholic Faith. She was an active member of the CWL (Catholic Women’s League), the Third Order of St. Francis and enjoyed daily mass and communion.

The Gardner Family is grateful for the happy memories and loving care provided by all of the staff at Winbourne Park over the past few years.

Private Catholic Service will be celebrated with Fr. Peter Marr at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Scarborough, Ontario. A full Catholic Mass Ceremony with family & friends will be celebrated when appropriate. Margaret will be laid to rest at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Toronto.

Arrangements entrusted with Jerrett funeral home, Scarborough chapel.

Relatives and friends are encouraged to make a donation to their neighbourhood Catholic Church or Place of Worship.
