FIRTH, Bruce Sydney - (November 6, 1950 - February 12, 2021) - After a 4 1/2 year journey with cancer, Bruce passed away peacefully at home with his wife Helen by his bedside.
He was very strong and very brave throughout his journey. I will miss waking up to him every morning and saying good night to him every night... and every moment in between.
He leaves behind his sisters Lois Cherniak, Mavis Neuman (Ted), his brothers Gordy Firth and Doug (Kay) Laing, his brother-in-law Jim Valerianos (Vicki), his sisters in-law Alexandra Valerianos and Toula Xistris, his many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, friends and his two cats, Karma & Clay.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the health care professionals from Southlake, who were instrumental in helping us these past 4 1/2 years: Dr. Anglin, Dr. Mahmoodi, Dr. Privetera, Dr. M. Katz, Dr. Mulhern, Dr. Kassam, Dr. Gupta, Dr. Lofti, Dr. Chia, the Southlake dieticians Judy and Jackie, the nurses Adriana and Chandra, the nursing staff at SRT - Vicki, Candy, Robert, Neda, Sandra. Thank you all for choosing to become health care workers.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Regional Cancer Program at Southlake Regional Health Centre.
Private Arrangements entrusted with Taylor Funeral Home, Newmarket. A graveside service and interment will be held in Montreal in the spring.
