SOLU, Martin  - 1987 - 2021  It is with great sadness that the family of Martin announces his passing.

Martin passed away suddenly on February 7, 2021 at his home in Toronto.

Martin is the beloved son of Peter Solu and Brigitte Meier, dear brother of Eric and grandson of Hildegard Meier.

Martin is also survived by his uncles Mart Solu and Brian Tupholme, several nephews, nieces, cousins and his caring good friends Sarah, Tara and John.

Martin was born in Toronto where he lived his entire life.

He will be remembered for his love and knowledge of music. With attention to detail, he had great technical insights about a variety of interests and had career interests to become either an F1 pit crew member, a scuba diver, free diving instructor or a paramedic.

He had high standards for the things he shared appreciation for, and loved to share them. He had a rare and unique perspective on life and his knowledge of life was phenomenal.

Martin cared about people, was compassionate and accepted them for who they were and made them feel free to be themselves around him.

He had a good understanding about what is important in life and lived it in that way. His spirit will carry him to a better place and will be very much missed.

A celebration of Martin's life will take place in the near future – date and details to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Martin's name may be made to the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).
