Specchi BrunoSPECCHI, Brunone 'Bruno' - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Brunone Specchi on Thursday February 18, 2021 in Toronto at the age of 80.

Bruno was born on September 6th 1940.

In the beautiful city of Ascoli Piceno Italy. He was born to Adelino and Giustina Specchi.

At the age of 6 his mother passed and his father remarried Santina DiSimoni.

Bruno arrived in Canada at the age of 21, and soon after he met and married his beautiful wife Vincenza. A year later they gave birth to their only daughter Gina.

Bruno started his career as a barber in Canada at the prestigious King Edward Hotel. There he met his best friend Carmen Lombardi and they decided to venture out and purchase Ivan’s Salon for Men at 21 Victoria St. in Toronto. Ivan’s Salon for Men served the elite of Toronto’s business community and society including several of the world’s top executives and a former president.

Bruno is survived by his wife Vincenza, his daughter Gina and her husband Giovanni, and his precious grandson Luca.
He will be forever remembered by his sister Ida (Remo Pizi deceased), Francesco (Sonia), Luigina (EmidioTacconi). He is predeceased by his siblings , Paolo Specchi and Ginetta Specchi, and brothers-In-Law and sisters-in-law, Rocco(Laura) Zagaria, and Giuseppina and Carmine Cristiano.

He is a much loved uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

He will be remembered by friends for his sense of humour, love of life and generosity.

Due to the Pandemic restrictions in place, the family has decided to have a private visitation and funeral service. The funeral service will be on Tuesday February 23 at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Bruno’s name.
