YORKE, Kathleen 'Kaye' Teresa (nee Batten) - (February 27, 1930 - February 20, 2021) - We are saddened to announce the passing of the earth angel we knew as our Mom.
Kathleen (Kaye) has joined her beloved husband Nick in heaven.
Surely, together, they are helping Saint Peter at the Pearly Gates welcoming everyone in, as their door was always open for so many others to call home.
Our house was always joyfully filled with family and friends, whether for dinner, a party or just a get together. Laughter, song and cards were always happening. This was the happy busy world her kids were raised in.
Kathleen comes from a family of 13 children raised by her father Isaac and mother Catherine in New Aberdeen, Glace Bay, Nova Scotia and survived by her 2 brothers Naish and Phillip. Kathleen came to Ontario in her late teens, married Nick and is survived by her children Wayne (Carol), Kathy (Bob), Diane (Brian), Steve (Gill), Nick (Debbie) and predeceased by her daughter Jennifer (Kevin).

Thank you to all the wonderful staff at The Houses of Providence for helping us care for our Mom for over 7 years, you truly kept her happy and healthy until the end.
There will not be a service at this time. We will hold a celebration of life at a later time. Arrangements with Giffen-Mack funeral home, Scarborough chapel. Your condolences and prayers are most welcomed, appreciated and loved.
