GRAHAM, Sarah  - It is with great sorrow that we share the news of the passing of Sarah Graham on the 11th of February, 2021.

Sarah passed away peacefully in her home with her son by her side, marking the end of a truly remarkable life spanning over nine decades.

Born December 27, 1928 in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, Sarah grew up one of four children.

She enjoyed working in the family bakery and singing Irish tunes with her three siblings as a child.

Having met the love of her life, Sarah braved the harsh conditions of the North Atlantic and made her way to join her late husband, James 'Jimmy' Murdock Graham in Canada in 1955.

Together, they built a formidable enterprise from the ground up, putting down roots in Toronto's Leaside neighbourhood. Of all the communities she was a part of, one in particular held a special place in Sarah's heart – Rosedale United Church. Sarah selflessly volunteered her time to pastoral care and greeting the congregation every Sunday for 30 years.

Her dedication and willingness to help others was equaled only by her ability to make you feel wholly understood.

A conversation with Sarah was a privilege; to encounter her sharp wit, social grace, and caring soul was to see sunshine pierce the clouds.

The way she lived her life serves as an example for us all. Sarah is survived by her son Murdock Graham and three grandchildren: James, Mavrick, and Brooke.

A private ceremony will be held for the family and a celebration of life will ensue at a later time to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Rosedale United Church on Sarah's behalf would be welcomed.
