PIRAS, Nicolo “Nick” - With sadness we share the passing of “Nick” Piras on March 15, 2021.
Predeceased by his parents, Giovanni & Maria.
He will be missed by his children, Christopher (Elissa) and Suzanne (Christopher).
Brother to Giulio in Toronto, Marissa, Antonio & Anna in Italy.
Uncle to Paul, Michael (Susan) and Sherri.
Proud Nonno to Julia, Nikolas, Liam and Katie.
His faithful companion, his cocker spaniel, Bella.
Nick was well known for being the owner of La Pentola Ristorante - the beautiful round restaurant with the Toronto Streetcar named Desire. So many had fond memories of the amazing food at La Pentola; everyone had a favourite meal.
Nick took pride in the countless events he hosted - weddings, annual corporate holiday parties and his New Year’s Eve celebration was always sold out.
The family is sending out a heart felt thank you to every one who has reached out with phone calls, text messages and condolences.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Cancer Society or the Toronto Humane Society.
