Sulit RaulSULIT, Raul Paras - Raul Paras Sulit, 86 years old, of Toronto, passed away peacefully on Sunday March 14, 2021 due to old age and a lingering illness.

Raul is survived by his loving wife Priscila Mendoza Sulit, his adoring children Raul Mendoza Sulit (Betty Arcilla Sulit), and Arnel Mendoza Sulit (Teresa Paguio Sulit), and his beloved grandchildren Dorothy Anne Sulit, Louis Sulit, Gabriel Sulit, and Aira Lorraine Sulit.

He was born in Manila, Philippines on June 12, 1934 to Jose R. Sulit and Loreto Paras. Raul attended the University of the Philippines College of Engineering, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Mining Engineering and Metallurgy.

Raul later went on to work in the Philippines at Marsteel Corporation, DMG Corporation, and became a Manager of the Foundry Division. He was also a Professor at Mapua Institute of Technology in the Philippines and at Kaduna Polytechnic University in Nigeria.

Raul will always be remembered for the immense love that he had for his family. He always spent his weekends taking his whole family on outings. He was very proud of his mother Loreto, who was an incredible English short story author. He shared his love of playing chess with his children by teaching them how to play. Raul will also be remembered for his love of numbers, Sudoku and crossword puzzles, gardening, and watching golf, football, and tennis.

Raul is now reunited in heaven with his daughter Maria Laarni Mendoza Sulit. He will be deeply missed.
