SWINDEN, Robert James - After a long illness Rob passed away quietly in his sleep on March 15, 2021.
He was born on June 24, 1945 in Fort William and was predeceased by his parents, James Nasmyth Swinden and Jean Lillias Swinden (McIntosh), and his wife, Georgina Vaughan Swinden. Georgina was the love of Rob’s life, until she left us much too soon in 2002.
Rob graduated from St. Andrew’s College (Aurora) and then Trinity College, University of Toronto with a B.Com. He was a member of the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity. Rob qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Clarkson, Gordon, Toronto (now Ernst & Young) and specialized in using then leading technological audit tools in a computer environment.
Survived by his brother, John Swinden (Helen), his sister Sylvia Milne and nieces and nephews – Andrew Swinden, Cynthia Doyle, Kevin Swinden, Douglas Milne and Catherine Milne.

Funeral arrangements are assisted by the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue; an attendance restricted burial by the family beside Georgina.
If a memorial is desired, a contribution to Castlefield Wychwood Towers would be most appropriate.
