LEWIS, Fred - Fred Lewis of Barrie, formally of Altona in his 99th year passed away peacefully on July 23, 2021.
He is survived by his companion of 19 years Shirley Piotrowski, children Jean Harper, Shirley Hanson, Roy Lewis, Joyce Johnson and Helen Hamerston, 28 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his wife of 60 years Ruth (nee Slack) (2001) – children Terry Lewis (1999), June Powell (2001), Lorne Lewis (2013), Earl Lewis (2018) and grandchildren Brenda Harper (1964), Scott Harper (2002), Darlene Harper (2014) and great-grandchild Tyler Hanson (2015).
Due to Covid restrictions, a private funeral service was held and an interment took place at the Stouffville Cemetery on July 30.
