LEVEC, Frank Levec - Passed away unexpectedly on January 23, 2022.
He was born in 1933 to parents Maria (nee Bidovic) and Frank Sr. in Menges, Slovenia.
They migrated to Austria after WWII, where they lived for 5 years before his family made their way to Toronto, Canada in 1950.
He graduated in 1961 from the School of Architecture from the University of Toronto and designed many homes and commercial properties in Southern Ontario.
Survived by his wife Julie (nee Opresnik) of 62 years, they eventually retired to Peterborough, ON to be closer to their grandkids.
He was loved by his family and friends including his late daughter Lydia (Paul Toporowski) and grandchildren Amy and Ryan, his son Frank and wife Diane and their boys Christian and Nathan. Also survived by his sister Marianne Basa (Danilo) and his niece Andrea and family.
Deeply admired for his lifelong career in architecture, a proud father and grandfather, he will be forever missed.
Visitation on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Nisbett Funeral Home, 3-6 p.m., Service Saturday, January 29th at 11:30 a.m., Blessed Trinity Catholic Church located in Toronto, ON, 3220 Bayview Ave. followed by Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation and Alzheimer Society of Canada.
