Morehouse DonaldMOREHOUSE, Donald Murray  -   Passed away peacefully on March 25, 2022 at the age of 90.

Don was a wonderfully warm and generous person, who had an ability to uplift people wherever he was.

The pandemic restrictions of recent years prevented a much anticipated trip to visit family and friends on the east coast.

Still, Don remained a determined optimist and always managed to bridge the miles with those dear to him.

He had many exciting stories to tell about his younger years growing up on the Miramichi River, and travelling across the country while working for the Canadian National Railway.

Don took great pride in his 30-year career with the Canadian Tire Corporation. He was a member of the East End United church in Toronto.

Don was the cherished husband of the late Mary Morehouse.

They were never apart for a single day and contributed significantly to their community throughout their 61-year marriage.

Predeceased by his sisters, Isabel Hovey, Doreen (Dodie) Pond, his brother, Darrell Morehouse, and brother-in-law, Stan Jones. Don is survived by his son, James Morehouse, granddaughter, Andrea Russell (David), sisters, Margaret Field (Bill), and Dolores Jones, his brother, Perley Morehouse (Effie), and sister-in-law, Dody Beek Morehouse, as well as his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at St. Clair O'Connor Community, Renee and Barry Fraser, and Betty Campbell for their love and support.

There will be no service by request. Interment will take place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery at a later date.

For those who wish, remembrances can be made to East End United Regional Ministry at https://eastendunited.ca/donations/ or St. Clair O'Connor Community Foundation at www.scoc.ca.
