BERNER, Dr. Mary "Barbara" - November 26, 1928 - April 6, 2018
Barbara left us to be with the Lord following a few months of illness.
Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Albertina and Walter Berner.
She graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine in June 1954.
Barbara set up practice in the east end of Toronto, ie. Woodbine and Danforth Aves.
Later she moved her office to Main St. and Danforth Ave. She worked for many years in the employee health office of Toronto East General Hospital until her retirement in 1995. Barbara enjoyed many years at her family cottage near Beaverton, ON.
She will be sorely missed by the Berner family, Thelma Sargent, Peter and Linda Shakespeare and Doris Sinclair, as well as many other close friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 11th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St., Toronto. Funeral Service on Thursday, April 12th at 11:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, a gift to the Salvation Army or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
