COLLINS, Jim - September 29, 1930 - April 6, 2018
Jim passed away quietly on April 6, 2018, at the age of 87, in the presence of his family at Trillium Hospital.
Beloved husband of Magdeline Collins, father of Gina (Jim) and Paul (Susie), grandfather of Eleni (Colin), Danny (Melissa), Madeline and James, great-grandfather of Mia, Eva and Leia, and brother of Tina and Bessie.
Lovingly cherished by his wife of 61 years, he will be missed by all those who knew him. Jim was a man of integrity. He will be remembered for his love of family and Greek music and culture.
Jim was an entrepreneur and had a passion for lifelong learning. He valued Canada and the opportunities it provided.
A nature-lover, his rose garden was a neighbourhood attraction. His family appreciates the support they have received during this difficult time.
Visitation will be held at the Scott Funeral Home, 420 Dundas Street East, Mississauga, on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church, (1785 Matheson Boulvard East, Mississauga) on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 10 a.m. Burial to follow.
