SOCKETT, Clare  - September 16, 1930 - April 6, 2018

With great sadness, but left with warm memories, we mourn the loss of Clare Sockett.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 65 years, Valerie, daughter Barb Cameron (Don) and son Dean Sockett (Moira). He was a wonderful Grandpa to Spencer Cameron, (Kristin), Breigh Cameron (Adesh) and Devon and Brook Sockett. Dad thoroughly enjoyed his great-granddaughter Makenzie Cameron.

Dad worked tirelessly for the F.W. Woolworth Company to provide for his family.

Over the course of 40 years he made his way from Stock Boy to Vice President of Human Resources. This led to many moves across Canada allowing us to enjoy several Provinces.

When he settled in Head Office in Toronto he became a member of Scarboro Golf Club, where he took great pleasure in playing his beloved golf and enjoying the social life with Val. He was a well-respected member and a past Director of the club.

The family would like to thank the very caring staff at Providence Healthcare who went above and beyond to keep Dad comfortable in his last days.

There will be a private family service in the near future.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.

YOUR PRESENCE WE MISS YOUR MEMORY WE TREASURE LOVING YOU ALWAYS FORGETTING YOU NEVER.
