KOVES, Alice (nee RONA) - Passed away April 5, 2018.
She was born on October 19, 1923 in Budapest, Hungary.
She and her family immigrated to Canada during the 1956 uprising.
She had an iron will and boundless capacity for work.
She built a successful clothing manufacturing business which at its peak employed over 150 people.
After retirement, she dedicated her time to gardening, playing with her grandchildren and keeping up with technology. She was determined to remain independent to the very end; in this too she was successful.
She is survived by her three children Judy, Robert and Peter; her grandchildren John, Katie, Lex, Jacquelyn and Simone; her great-grandchildren Zoe, Grayson, Easton, Freya, Virginia, Lander and Simon.
She will forever be in our hearts. A private family event will be held on Tuesday.
The family welcomes friends between 12:00 noon and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 14th in the party room at the Manulife Centre (44 Charles Street entrance) to visit and share memories.
