CRAIGEN, Geraldine Marie - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Geraldine Marie (Lemieux) Craigen on September 20, 2023.
Geri passed away in her 81st year after a battle with cancer.
She is survived by her loving husband James “Jim” and 3 children, Suzanne (Trace), Christine (Darin), and Michael (Tara).
“Gramma Ger” is also survived by her 5 grandchildren: Nicola, Cam, Beth, Liam, and Isaac.
Geri taught at Paul Dwyer Catholic High as a French teacher, where she spent her entire career. Tennis, bridge, cycling, sewing, and quilting were some of Geri’s hobbies.
She was also a sports fan, especially of tennis and the Raptors!! The family cottage in Tweed was a place where she enjoyed close to 60 summers.
Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial visitation at McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Friday October 6th, 2023 from 7 – 9 pm.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church (214 Simcoe St. N, Oshawa) on Saturday October 7th, 2023 at 11 am, with a reception held afterwards in the church auditorium.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Oak Ridges Hospice. Online condolences can be shared at makfuneralhome.com.
