Stockton HelenSTOCKTON, Helen - (July 12, 1926November 28, 2018) 

Helen Stockton was born in Paris Ontario in 1926, the first daughter of Mabel and George Stockton.

She graduated from SS #12 South Dumfries School in 1939, from Paris District High School in 1945, from Toronto Western Hospital in 1949 and received her BScN in Nursing from University of Western Ontario in 1962.

After graduation from the United Church of Canada Training School in 1954, she spent a year in Portugal and four years in Angola Africa, teaching nursing at the Dondi Hospital. Here she contracted tuberculosis and after recuperating, began to teach nursing in Brantford and Toronto, before completing 22 years of teaching at Sheridan College in Mississauga.

For over 40 years she was a very active member of Metropolitan United Church in Toronto, where she served in many various capacities.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at Metropolitan United Church, 56 Queen St. East, Toronto on Saturday December 15th. After cremation, Helen will be interned in the family plot in the Ayr Cemetery.

Helen leaves to mourn her 12 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, one sister Marion from Edmonton, and her two brothers, James from Peterborough and Donald Sheldon from Guelph.

Surviving her are two sisters-in-law, Jessica from Peterborough, Lois from Guelph and brother-in-law Otto from Edmonton.
